Recently, a new game that took the world by storm, Flappy Bird was released on both the Appstore and Google Play. It became a hit within a few weeks with over a 50 million downloads. But now, the producer of the top free game, Dong Nguyen, a Vietnamese wants to remove the game. Apparently, it will be removed in less than 9 hours. Why would he want to do that? Flappy Bird makes about USD $50000 in ad revenue a day...so why would he want to stop making money?

It seems that the game has drawn compliments but also disdain. For example, people accuse him of cheating to achieve the game's ranking in the Appstore. However, the main reason why he wants to remove the game is still unclear although it is believed that the real reason is due to the overwhelming amount of fame and attention he is getting. He wants to have a break and live in peace.

I feel that it is quite sad for him that he has to remove his game so quickly. His talent and skills at developing games cannot get into full swing if he has to escape all the fame and attention.
